Basket of Fire is compact ornamental with serious heat. Rating 80,000-100,000 SHU makes it extremely hot. The small upward-pointing fruits are deceivingly hot. Fruits ripen from purple to bright red. Compact size perfect for containers – hence ‘basket.’ Fully edible but extremely spicy. Very productive dwarf plants. The fire-like appearance of red fruits is striking. Beautiful but pack real punch. Handle with caution despite small size.
