About This Pepper
Trinidad Scorpion Peppers are named for scorpion-tail shape at bottom of pepper. Rating 1,200,000-1,463,700 SHU, these are among world’s hottest peppers. The heat is immediate, intense, and long-lasting – described as building in waves. Beneath extreme heat is fruity, floral flavor, but most people can’t taste it past capsaicin. Used only in extreme hot sauces and by competitive eaters. The Butch T strain held world record for hottest pepper from 2011-2013. Exercise extreme caution – wear gloves when handling.
