Black seeds are characteristic of C. pubescens species. The thick walls make them perfect for stuffing. Prefers cooler climates than most peppers. Popular in Mexican highlands and Central America. The fruity flavor is unique among hot peppers. Can be eaten fresh, pickled, or cooked. Beautiful plant with purple flowers. One of few peppers that tolerates cold.
